Tina Schied – Senior Site Specialist at Avance Clinical
Avance Clinical, the market-leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) for biotechs in Australia and North America, is happy to introduce our dedicated Senior Site Specialist, Tina Schied. With over two decades of diverse nursing and clinical research experience, Tina plays a pivotal role in enhancing our site strategy and feasibility operations.
Background and Experience
Tina’s extensive background began in 1996, following her summa cum laude graduation in Nursing from Oregon Health & Sciences University. She initially served as a registered nurse in various roles, including positions at a rural hospital in eastern Oregon and as a pediatric nurse in a clinical setting. Her career trajectory led her to the Department of Defense at Madigan Army Medical Center, where she served as a pediatric oncology and Rare Disease nurse before becoming a Nurse Case Manager for a Home Health & Hospice agency.
In 2005, Tina transitioned into clinical research as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator at a large oncology clinic in western Washington. Her career further diversified with a position at the Department of Defense, focusing on the effects of hyperbaric oxygen on mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI’s) of soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. She resumed her oncology research career shortly after, leading to roles at PPD, Optimal Research, and Paradigm, Inc.
Tina’s decision to join Avance Clinical was influenced by the company’s supportive and innovative environment. “The entire interview process was respectful, professional, and down-to-earth. It made me excited to work for Avance Clinical, knowing I would support both Australian and North American operations,” she shared.
