Managing Avance Clinical’s highly experienced and dedicated global full-service Clinical & Project Operations and Biometrics departments, Jemma’s focus is on ensuring high quality service delivery, understanding client needs, and investing in the development of her leadership team to support the global expansion of Avance Clinical’s operational capacity.

Background

Jemma has worked within the clinical research industry for 20+ years, with a distinct focus on Early Phase clinical development. She has worked for more than 18 years within a CRO environment,  following a background in scientific research, a career path that started with a PhD in Molecular Biology, stimulating her interest in industry applications for research. Following exposure to the pre-
clinical space in the biotechnology industry, her passion eventually shifted from the lab to the clinic.

Recent Achievements

Jemma has overseen the growth of Avance’s Clinical and Project Operations department, leading a >5-fold increase in department head count over a 5 year period, while executing on exceptional financial and corporate deliverables. This included the integration of Avance’s first US-based CRO acquisition target. Most recently, her portfolio has expanded to include Avance’s Biometrics department, providing executive-level support to ensure continued high quality service delivery as Avance expands its global footprint.
