Joe Taouk is Vice President, Global Project Delivery at Avance Clinical, bringing over 25 years of experience across the full drug development lifecycle. He has held executive leadership and senior operational roles within the CRO environment, successfully delivering complex clinical programs and delivering high-quality outcomes for both global pharmaceutical and emerging biotech companies.

Joe has led the planning and execution of Phase I–IV clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas across Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Asia-Pacific region. He is recognised for his ability to balance operational excellence with strategic oversight, ensuring studies are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with global regulatory standards.

At Avance, Joe heads the global project delivery function, overseeing all active clinical trials worldwide. He also spearheads the company’s expansion into the Asia region, recently establishing operations in Korea and Taiwan, and fostering strong relationships with clients and other key stakeholders such as sites and KOLs to drive growth and operational efficiency. Joe is passionate about building high-performing teams and leveraging his deep industry knowledge to support the development of innovative therapies that make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
