Liahna Toy is Senior Vice President and Head of Avance Clinical’s Early Phase Centre of Excellence. She brings 15+ years’ experience across local and global CROs and is known for building and leading high-performing commercial teams that translate sponsor strategy into early-phase execution with speed, predictability and quality.

Across her career, Liahna has helped scale global business development functions, strengthened win rates and commercial discipline, and built long-term biotech partnerships across Australia, North America and Asia Pacific. She has deep knowledge of the early phase landscape – including site and vendor ecosystems, operational realities, and the levers that matter most to biotech decision-makers – enabling her to shape fit-for-purpose clinical solutions that stand up under scrutiny.

In her current role, Liahna leads Avance’s Early Phase Centre of Excellence to ensure a consistent, sponsor-ready operating model, bringing together clinical, operational and commercial leadership to deliver outcomes from first-in-human through key development milestones.

Liahna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
