Avance Clinical Wins ANZCham’s Australia-Taiwan Business Excellence Award in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan — SEPTEMBER 11, 2026
Avance Clinical Taiwan has won the Australia-Taiwan Business Excellence Award at the 2026 Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (ANZCham Taiwan) Business Awards, held at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei.
The award is one of only two national-level, cross-border categories at the ceremony — alongside the Australia-Taiwan Business Partnership Award — set apart from ANZCham’s state-specific Queensland-Taiwan and New South Wales-Taiwan categories, making it one of the night’s most competitive recognitions for a company operating between the two markets.
The award recognises the contribution of Avance Clinical’s Taiwan operations to strengthening business and clinical research ties between Australia and Taiwan, and comes at a period of rapid growth for the company’s regional footprint: since opening its Taipei office in March 2025, Avance Clinical has signed memoranda of understanding with four major Taiwanese hospital networks — Taipei Medical University, Taichung Veterans General Hospital , China Medical University Hospital, and Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital — building the on-the-ground partnerships that this award recognizes.
The win also lands as Taiwan’s own biotech sector accelerates. The industry generated approximately US$24.5 billion in revenue in 2023, up 8.12% year-on-year, backed by more than US$1.8 billion in private investment and a 2025 government technology budget increase of nearly 15%. Taiwan’s regulatory environment adds a further advantage for global biotechs: the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration completes standard IND reviews in roughly 45 days, and as little as 15 days for trials co-filed with the FDA, EMA or TGA under the Multinational Clinical Trial Notification scheme. For Taiwan-based biotechs looking to run trials that are recognised internationally, that combination of local market strength and streamlined regulatory pathways is central to why a CRO’s regional credibility — the kind this award signals — matters.
